- Cleaning, sandblasting, and painting of the hull and topsides, if needed
- Checking mooring chains and restoring as necessary
- Periodic inspection of engine parts for looseness and any required extraordinary maintenance
- Periodic inspection of propulsion parts for looseness and any required extraordinary maintenance
- Inspection and maintenance of seacocks and exhaust valves
- Replacement of anodes
- Replacement of Voith blade seals and general inspection/maintenance
- Any other work deemed necessary by the Naval Registry inspector
- Last dry docking in 2016
- Crane and ropes were replaced in 2024
- Sandblasting and painting of part of the topside hull were completed in 2025
Three (3) MAN engines were installed new in 2009. All three operate in parallel and can be used individually for operation of the crane and/or mooring winches. For starting the Voith propulsion system and for long navigation, all three engines are required. This can be reduced to two engines for short navigation or movements within the work area.
