Survey Equipment

  • The Dredge utilizes HYPACK’s Dredgepack software as its primary digging guidance system. This software has been enhanced with custom developed drivers, which interface with digital rotation sensors mounted on each of the excavator’s appendage points—namely the boom, stick, and bucket.
  • Positioning data, both vertical and horizontal, is provided by a Trimble RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) GPS system installed on the excavator. All sensor inputs are transmitted to the Dredgepack computer, enabling the operator to view real-time plan and profile (side) views of the excavator’s position and movements.
  • Additionally, design files and topographic/bathymetric data can be loaded into the system. This functionality helps the operator accurately monitor and control material removal according to project specifications.
